수학에 대한 책이지만 쉽게 읽히는 책이다.  아주 단순한 수학 개념에서 시작해서 대학수학의 상당히 어렵고 복잡한 개념들까지 진행된다. 연재되던 칼럼모음집이라서 그런지, 비슷한 그룹으로 묶여 있기는 하지만, 완전히 구조적인 틀로 짜여진 것은 아니다. 번역되지 않은 글을 읽었다면 더 쉽게 읽혔을지 더 어려웠을지 궁금하기도 하다. 아주 어리지 않은 아이들과 같이 읽어봐도 좋을 책이다.
